Fortnite Battle Royale is finally coming to iOS and Android

Invite-only iOS beta start on March 12th

Epic Games has just announced that they are bringing Fortnite Battle Royale to iOS and Android devices  via Polygon

The game is coming to both phones and tablets and epic promises that the player count will remain 100 just like we know on PS4 and Xbox One and PC. Gameplay, maps will also remain the same. Gamers will be able to sign up for an iOS beta starting March 12 with invites rolling out shortly afterward. Once you get an invite you will be able to invite your friends too. However, support for Android is still delayed and will be announced in the next few months.

The best part is that the mobile version will share progression and will support cross-play with PS4, PC and Mac meaning you will be able to play against other platforms plus even if your friends own an android you will still be able to team up with them.

One thing missing from all this good stuff is the inclusion of Xbox One, which is the only platform left out. We do know that the cross-play between Xbox and PS4 is possible but only if Sony agrees to the deal.

Sony has turned down Microsoft plea to offer Cross-play between both platforms due to sony concern over the safety of their young players.
